Can anyone recommend a good set of swim paddles?
I've just been looking at wiggle's site, and there are a few variations.
Also a few ideas for workouts with them would be great

I use these http://www.mailsports.co.uk/accessories/training_aids/product~1402

My swim instructor thinks they are the best that he has seen.

A small tip for the use of paddles:

Remove the wrist strap and use them without it. This way you'll get the 'feel' for the water, you'll learn to get hold of it by doing the correct movements. If you do a wrong move, you'll definately feel the paddle going everywhere, do it right and the paddle will stick on to your hand. Loosen the strap a bit more every time if you are uncertain, you'll get rid of it after 3 sessions max.

I've just ordered these. Not used paddles a great deal, but I have a lot of workouts now that are making use of them. I am told these are very good.
Or the Speedo tech paddles are also good, recommended by Dan Bullock of swimfortri.com, he posted an article on here about sculling.

Thanks for the replies chaps - I've bought the Speedo Tech ones. Have been scouring the web looking out for some drills to follow, to no avail so far, let me know if you see anything interesting...

@king of the mountains. Can you do a tumble turn with the wrist strap removed? It's an interesting tip, but I'm afraid that if I remove the strap I'd never be able to squeeze it into the holes again :-)

Patrick - It took some practising and adjustment in my hand/wrist position but I got there in the end! Give it a go and see how you get on...
